Thanks for checking out today’s episode, it’s a special one dedicated to the one-year anniversary of my book, Virtual Freedom. To celebrate the occasion I’ve got five episodes this week just for you!
Today Joe Sanok of ‘Practice of The Practice’ joins us to talk about how the book helped him grow his side hustle while maintaining his full-time gig.
Joe heard about me and the book when I was on Pat Flynn’s podcast. That interview opened his eyes not only to his existing Superhero Syndrome but what he could do to alleviate it. He knew he was doing too much and becoming bogged down in the details of running a practice and a side hustle.
Before even reading Virtual Freedom he took action and hired someone to help with his scheduling. Then after he’d read the book he added a few more team members to his staff. Today he has an intern who helps him with keyword research, a ghost writer and a transcriptionist.
One of his biggest takeaways from reading the book was knowing he didn’t need to do it all. Today he understands his business is simply part of his life, it’s not his entire life. So if he’s not essential to a task he should outsource it, and he does, freeing him up to spend more time with his wife and their new baby.
On today’s show Joe also talks about making the leap from his steady and stable day job to being a full-time entrepreneur. You’ll want to hear all about that and more so tune in!
