Hey Chris

Why you should pick me!

Because I know you via your work online for years and i been a big fan, I would love to meet you. Because I live in Asia and am very knowledgeable international businessman currently located in Republic of China (Taiwan). As well I have lived in the Philippines for a long time therefore i know much about the situation there for future possibilities of development.

Mainly because if you wont choose me my dear friend, you will be missing out on a great opportunity to meet someone who know you & respects you, can work together and learn from each other very much so.

But in the end, its your choice, u can contact me via my fb account.

Best luck to you my friend.

I would love to win to continue my outreach to influencers in the field. I’ve been a follower for years and 2013 is my year to start being loud and proud about my passion with Live Video marketing.
One Product released this year and 2 in the funnel for the next couple of months. This weekend is Tech Phoenix and volunteering to do lots there.

And..well I am a really nice guy!

Good luck to everyone and Chris – worse case scenario I’m only a couple hours drive and we should hook up for at least a photo!

Ben Hebert November 7, 2012 at 22:20

I started a blog around my passion (Sep 2011) and it has turned into a wonderful community that has be traveling the world attending music festivals as media. I like to think that I’m chasing and living the dream at the same damn time.

My team is virtual and my daytime job has nothing to do with my blog, startups or entrepreneurship. So aside from what I read on blogs like yours, I’m missing out on that crucial part of working and learning from other motivated individuals with their own brands. I want to learn from the people who get it, because they’re doing it everyday.

Roy van Wensen November 7, 2012 at 22:25

Hi Chris

First of all thanks for the chance!

I would love to be able to come because:

I’ve been following you for over a half year. My study is about to end in January. Then I begin my own business and want to make use of people from the philippines. I am 23 years I would just love to meat you once you are inspiring person.

In the Netherlands I am moderately large in the field of affiliate marketing. When I’m done next year I want to grow internationally. Then I want to make use of outsourcing.

I really hope you choose me! :-)

Jared Easley November 7, 2012 at 22:28

I already have my pass for NMX, but I am looking forward to having a proper beverage with you if your schedule permits.

David November 7, 2012 at 22:29

Hi Chris, well here are my reasons you should pick me:

I’ve just launched my business lastweek which is all about how to approach and attract women during the daytime. I’m completely new to blogging and have just found you.

I only have 6 subscribers so far to my list! So it would be extremely valuable to me for this experience

I have spent many months setting all this up and I’m now swimming without a life jacket so to speak! It’s just completely new and spending time with you and attending the show would come at the right time to get this thing off the ground!

So to put it simply – I have just launched my business, it’s fun and not possibly not like others you have come across. I’m a complete newbie and I feel it would be more valuable to someone like me who is new to all this.

Galyn Fergerson November 7, 2012 at 22:36

You should pick me because I can be your new project or real life testimony. I am an event producer with a personal blog, and I can’t find a niche nor have I gotten the hang of blogging for business. I can’t yet call myself an expert because I just launch my production company less than a year ago. Unlike the other members who would also benefit from the New Media Expo, I do not have the extensive background in marketing or years of experience. The other members already have a headstart. I don’t. You’ve made yourself very successful, but I can be your proof that you can create success for others – well just me – with no business, marketing, and technical experience and background.

mumby November 7, 2012 at 22:49

1. I’m Canadian. It’s COLD in January. I will be so grateful and delighted to see the sun, I’ll be extra-fun. And I’m a lot of fun already.
2. I love this stuff. I’m enthusiastic and experimental: I’ll take ideas back to my company and TRY them. We’ve tried all sorts of fun media stuff at Mabel’s Labels, and much of our inspiration comes from podcasts, blogs and events like this. I appreciate that people with the knowledge are willing to share. It’s awesome.
3. I will be grateful: I will share what I learn. I will tweet and instaG and share all I can! I go to all the sessions. I will appreciate the opportunity. I will be grateful.

Good luck to all, and thank you for the opportunity!

jack gately November 7, 2012 at 22:59

If chosen, I would use this opportunity to learn from the movers and shakers of the community how to best reach the 64 million persons with disabilities in this country and keep them abreast of the latests legal and policy developments that could help them obtain adaptive housing, fund businesses that employ persons with disabilities and enhance their quality of life.

diamantis November 7, 2012 at 23:20

hey chris ! what’s up ?

your post got me into a lot of thinking. you know the conference , the people, the vegas …

but there was that voice inside me that kept telling me how stupid I was even to think about it : “you can hardly pay your bills and taxes, you shouldn’t throw away money like that. three days ? travel thousands of miles just for three days ? travel thousands of miles just to see people talk ? you don’t belong there . you don’t know this stuff . you’re a stranger . you have a one month old blog in the middle of nowhere and you want expos ? sit on your eggs! ( greek expression meaning don’t do anything ) “.

I told that voice to FUCK OFF !

I WILL GO FOR IT ! I can afford a couple of thousands of euros , its soooooooo much worth it ! and it’s not that far … just an ocean away !

I WILL GO FOR IT ! There maybe people who are more advanced/experienced/qualified , but that does’t stop me from trying. I will try to seize every opportunity , every chance and I don’t care if it is a very long shot. Do you give me one in a million ? Thank you Sir ! I’ll take it and make the best of it !

I WILL GO FOR IT ! And even if I don’t make it this time , I will sleep peacefully at night knowing that I tried. If that’s not my day, I know my day will come. I believe that. I believe it without a shadow of a doubt. But in the end who knows ? You might say YES !

And until we all achieve our goals…
… be healthy and smile !

PS: Hassl… eeeh I mean Hustle. Remember? :)

John Corcoran November 7, 2012 at 23:39

Hey Chris: Great idea to do a contest to give away some tickets… I look forward to meeting you in person in January. I’ll be moderating a panel on social media legal issues. It will be my first NMX/Blogworld so I can’t wait.

Luke Wilson November 7, 2012 at 23:42

Hey Chris,

I’m 6 months into my new content marketing site – we take public domain books and clean them up, format them correctly, and republish them online. It’s going well, making money, but I’m ready to take it to the next level.

I have been a part of “Blogworld”, now the New Media Expo, from a distance for many years now, catching bits of video on Youtube, following it on Twitter, etc, and I’ve always wanted to go. Not quite in the place to invest this much money in going myself this year, so you are is the only way it’s going to happen!

Thanks for the opportunity!

Michael Ross November 7, 2012 at 23:44

Hello, Chris. Thank you for offering the two tickets to your community. There are a number of reasons why it would be wonderful if I were to win one of those tickets:

* As a resident of Nevada who lives just outside of Las Vegas, I would be able to attend all three days quite easily. Thus, awarding a ticket to me would be less risky than offering it to someone else who may flake out on making the trip, thereby wasting the ticket.

* As a web developer (www.ross.ws) with over a decade of experience, I would likely be a welcome addition to discussions with you and other conference attendees as to how web sites and web apps can be best leveraged by content creators for expanding their communities and their business results.

* As a writer of hundreds of articles published in magazines and online, I would be most interested in writing one or more new articles on lessons learned at the conference, and possibly tie that in with cross-promotional efforts with you and others.

* As a freelancer looking to go completely mobile, I would enjoy chatting with you and other attendees about your experiences in developing businesses in southeast Asia. A while back, you and I had chatted briefly via e-mail about the Philippines. It would be fun to continue that discussion, and possibly publish information on it, if that would be helpful.

Thank you for your consideration.

Paul Donovan November 8, 2012 at 01:19

Hi Chris,
3 sentence maximum not counting this one.

I have to be living in the Philippines, living the virtual lifestyle, with a valid and working business in 2013, have to have to have to. That means, go to Vegas and find out what I’m missing to make it happen (and connect with so many other like-minded people).

Thanks for your work on ChrisDucker.com.

Wacey P November 8, 2012 at 01:34

Hey Chris,

You are inspirational! I left the rat race a couple years ago and became inspired by the likes of you, Tim Ferriss, Pat Flynn, and Ramit Sethi.

I’m passionate about my family, technology, finance, and helping others. Recently turned 33 and have a technology/business background but grew tired of programming. Now focused on running a business.

Failure is not an option. It’s sink or swim. Three days with you at a media conference will only accelerate and multiply my progress. And of course I will return the favor!

Looking forward to meeting you,
Fort Worth, TX

Alina Vedernikova November 8, 2012 at 01:35

Hello there!

Thank you so much for this opportunity. The reasons that I should accompany you to the Expo are quite simple.

I have the drive, the will, and determination to create something of myself. There is just so much information on the internet on how to succeed, I know I will do better with my own business if I just had a bit of a helping hand.

I utilize all of your advice regarding outsourcing, and just your blog and emails have helped me so much. I actually used the interview questions that your proposed to ask. They work wonders.

I will never have another opportunity like this, to be surrounded by great and experienced minds at such a young age. To help mold me into thinking better as well as broader in what I can do with my content.

It’s my birthday!

Thank you for actually being one of the few who helps, and for being a mentor of a sort to all of us.

Monique Johnson November 8, 2012 at 01:36

Thanks so much Chris for presenting us this awesome opportunity!

Previously when NMX was Blog World, I came so close to attending the actual conference the first two years in NYC. The first year, I was still working on Wall Street and could not attend because I was not able to take time off of work and I was saving all of my pennies before I took the huge leap. But I took advantage of what I could and attended all of the meetups and happy hours that were scheduled outside of the actual Javitts Center. The following year, I was only able to get my hands on the Exhibits Only pass. I no longer had the plush job and I was hustling to get my blog and web show off the ground. But once again, I took advantage of all of the events that were scheduled around the conference but also had the opportunity to at least go to the “blogger charging station” right outside the exhibit and got to connect with awesome people. One of the conversations were so great, that I got interviewed by Leslie Samuel from BecomeaBlogger on the topic of Online Video!

Both instances, I was able to instantly connect with people and learn a lot from our conversations but that was not enough. It was imperative that I attended the main keynotes and panel discussions that covered certain topics more in depth. As a result, I always felt a major piece was also missing in order for me to fully grasp certain techniques and strategies because I was not able to attend the conference.

I want to go to NMX so I can finally have all of the pieces to the numerous puzzles of marketing techniques and strategies; building a business out of your blog and web show; and community engagement and growth. So far, you can see that I have only managed to get one TOE in the door and having the opportunity to fully immerse myself would truly make a dream come true! All of the people that I look up to in the online world will be there and I want to be able to take the conversations that I’ve had a step further by fully discussing pertinent information that was learned from keynotes and panel discussions!

Once again, thanks so much for this opportunity Chris and good luck to everyone!

Alex Ivory November 8, 2012 at 02:23

Chris, chris, chris, if you pick me all of your wildest dreams will come true….jk..im not a stalker or anything. Just really like your content and what your doing. I got into the whole world of online earnings and outsourcing a few months ago. My life has been completely changed. I have been able to start a business that make apps for local businesses. Thanks to outsourcing I can hand off all the design of the apps to my VA’s and focus more on the business. I would love to meet you at the Expo.

Aaron November 8, 2012 at 03:51

You had me at “Free Beer.” No, seriously, I am humbled by your consideration and would he honored to attend. If selected. I would be wiling to do any 3 of the following:

1. Wear a “Ducker Ain’t No Sucker” short for the duration of the event.
2. Act as a human case study for your content, actually implementing everything you teach.
3. Remain on duty as your personal event security guard (like Kevin Costner)
4. Buy you countless ales
5. Tell Pat Flynn he should try and me “more like Chris Ducker..”
6. Be measurably less boring than the movie “Out of Africa”

Aside from this menu of services, I would consume and apply the content and relationships from this event and translate them into making a difference for the world, my family and business.

Joshua Van Den Broek November 8, 2012 at 06:30

Hey C

You know what… I’d love to join you in Las Vegas!! (insert surprised face here)

I’ve never been to the mainland USA before and to be honest…. the only way that my wife would possibly let me go to Las Vegas “without her” (the week before my son’s birthday) is if I said our good mate Chris Ducker (yes she knows about you too) wants to take me under his wing and impart his wisdom upon this upcoming prodigy :)

But I don’t think I need to blow smoke up your pipe mate to say what a ripper of an opportunity this would be, plenty have done it before and I am 100% certain that you know how good you are and you can still feel the love from Down Under (over here in Sydney, Australia ).

Now here is where the reasons to select me start to make even more sense….

By taking me with you, it would ensure that you have your own personal medical team on standby to take preventative care for your previous back injury (that we got sorted out earlier in the year) and get you through the entire event in tip top condition!!! (we don’t to deprive the NMX crew from seeing you deliver your killer content now do we?)

Finally, (this is where i plead / grovel etc) I have taken the advice that you gave me earlier in the year about getting my voice out there and creating a platform to distribute it through blogging, video, podcasting etc. but I would say that I am still a complete novice (willing to be a sponge and learn) in implementing in each of these areas, and to be guided by yourself at an event like NMX would be the perfect way to fast track my online business and get my voice heard so that I can really CRUSH IT!

(Did I mention my wife won’t let me go without you?? haha)

As always…I look forward to catching up with you in January C :)

Stay “All sorts of Awesome!”

Dr. Mike Hamilton November 8, 2012 at 07:14

Hi Chris,

My wife and I are both former chiropractors and today we own one of the fast growing chiropractic website and marketing companies in the industry. Chiropractors are desperately in need of the services you have to offer, but they don’t know you exist right now. I think we should change that.

Whether you choose us or not for this event, this is something that we should be working on together. Chiropractors are a great market to work with in the US, and they are hopeless when it comes to internet marketing.

Hope to hear from you.

Dr. Mike

Tony Fiorillo November 8, 2012 at 07:30

Thanks for the opportunity. I’d love to meet. Are you staying for ASW that next week in Vegas?

I can’t campaign in text to get you to pick me, you’ll have to watch my videos on my site; isn’t that the whole idea. Sure wish I’d seen your videos before I produced mine (shamely patronizing).

rick fernandez November 8, 2012 at 07:55

Screw Las Vegas! Can you take me back with you to Cebu instead? :)
I lived there for 3 years. I was working in Mactan for a movie studio and film school designing web sites and marketing materials. I had my beautiful wife and kids with me. I loved the people and the islands. Life was simple. Life was good!

I came back to the US when my contract at the movie studio ran out and have been trying everything to get back there. I have a small design studio, with good clients and tons of experience outsourcing to the Philippines. Most of my crew is in the Visayas in Cebu and Davao.

I’m also starting a call center in Davao specializing in BPO for marketing, social media and promotions. As you know, salaries and properties are getting expensive in Cebu and many BPOs are opening satellite offices in Davao.

Just recently we launched a travel site for tourists and expats at http://www.phwow.com/davao. were launching sister sites for makati, cebu, boracay, bohol, siargao, palawan and other tourist destinations. Launched Nov 1st and already hit over 300 visitors with grassroots campaigns through social media. looking for investors and partners.

I’m currently in California. Need to get my projects in to high gear and would love to pick your brain on how to achieve the success I need to get back to Cebu. These three days with you would make a huge difference to me and my family as well as the 30 pinoy families I employ.

Mark November 8, 2012 at 10:47

Actually, I don’t think you should take me.

Sure, I’m qualified to go. I have multiple virtual businesses. I’ve outsourced work to the Philippines, China (where I live), India, Pakistan, Croatia and even the U.S. I travel around Asia cultivating content and relationships in my micro-niche. I contribute my time to charitable causes and try to help people whenever I can. I love being a proponent of the virtual lifestyle and meeting likeminded people to exchange ideas and share strategies.

But, honestly, you can find people like that everywhere. I’ve met them in all sorts of places you would never imagine. And while the majority of people still subscribe to the 9-5 work system, the growing number of people I interact with who share our passion for this type of life is increasing every year.

So, while I would be a great fit to go with you to NMX, I think that there are others who would benefit even more. There are those who need the extra push and the extra motivation and inspiration that this sort of experience provides. They are on the fence about what to do next, but I’m already a member of the choir.

Sure, I’d love to go. Sure I’d be a great person to take. But there are others who need it more than I do.

Provide that extra push that will put them over the edge and firmly in the realm of this online virtual business environment that we are both already a part of — because the more the merrier, and we can always use more people on this side of the fence.

– Mark

Anna Aberg November 8, 2012 at 15:34

James Petzke November 11, 2012 at 00:00

Hey Chris, thanks for the giveaway!
You should pick me to win these tickets because I’m an 18 year old start up blogger who is still learning the ropes. I’ve been running my new blog (which has been pretty successful so far) and attending business school at the same time for the last three months, and was involved in a few other small online business projects before that. I have yet to have my breakthrough, and I think that this blogging conference may just allow me the opportunity to have it. I think that I would be able to learn more from this conference than almost anyone else at this point, so your free ticket would have a maximum impact on someone’s life and business. Being the typical cash-starved college student, I won’t be able to attend the conference otherwise, however much I would like to.

Thanks so much for the chance to win!
James Petzke

Michael Bryant November 11, 2012 at 23:11

Top Nine reasons to NOT TAKE ME TO VEGAS!
Warning: The following is Canadian Humour and is not meant to be disrespectful in any way.

1.I am fifty years old which means that I still think Apple is a fruit company and a mouse is something to catch in a trap. Plus I have a fear of breaking my hip on the information highway.

2. I am already very proficient at generating traffic to my web-log as evidenced by my two subscribers. I had more but my Mom unsubscribed. She said something about not developing a relationship. Sheesh some people!

3. My use of Social Media is second to none. I can place a Twitter on my website, Like a Pinterest Blog and Dance in Circles with my Facebook companions.

4. I don’t need to learn about affiliate links and other online marketing techniques. I already know everything about them and when I start making my gozillions I plan to buy a small island like New Zealand and retire there.

5. I know how to handle my inbox. Simply don’t read them, then you don’t have to respond. Am I brilliant or what?

6. Good writing skills have I. Like they are awesum man”

7. Innovation is easy for me. In fact here is the title of my newest web-log page “The Importance of Innovation in Business and Why You Need to Get Busy – NOW!”

8. I already know that the main goal of an online business is to provide a service for myself, make me rich and help create a passive income so I only have to work on Leap Year Tuesdays.

9. Content is King. I have always been content with my life so why is this a surprise for some people?

10. My first and only Podcast is so awesome that I have not published it yet for fear of toppling the whole industry. But when I download it from my cassette player, to my Eight Track and then to the world well you had better hang on to your hat.

Best of Luck to everyone else!
